Current-$y

When money is spent with virtuous intent, it flows back through effortlessly.

There’s a reason why it’s called “currency”. Money isn’t just money, it’s a physical representation of a Current of energy. The energy of Value.

Imagine a child sitting by a stream, watching the currents flow by. If the child spends time trying to catch the water and stop it from flowing, it acts against the current, which is far more powerful than him. Additionally, the child is unable to stop the current, and is barely able to catch some water in his hands. Each time he tries to catch the water, he reaches in and then back out, missing out on the current, focused on a few drops. The child grows frustrated, unable to enjoy the stream of water that is before him.

Imagine another child. This child watches the current. This child dips her hand into the current, allowing the force of the water to make her relaxed fingers sway in the direction of the stream. This child appreciates the feeling of the water washing over her hand and passing by, with confidence that there is more to come.

This is how money works. Money is not just money. It is a representation of a current of energy that is guided by value and intention.

When thinking about money, it’s important to think about the value behind the current rather than the simple representation of it, for that is superficial. Money should not be spent in terms of numbers, but in terms of value.

Let me give you a scenario.

Person 1 owes Person 2 $15. Person 2 never asks for it, and therefore, Person 1 thinks, “ah, well if they don’t ask for it, then they probably don’t need it. I can’t really afford to have $15 less in my bank account right now.” Person 1 is thinking about money in terms of numbers, and not thinking about the Current that is being represented. Person 1 is the boy trying to catch the water from the stream into his hands. What Person 1 doesn’t know is that Person 2 actually has noticed that Person 1 didn’t pay them back, and even though they won’t say anything, Person 1 has lost integrity in Person 2’s eyes.

By thinking about the money in terms of numbers, Person 1 completely ignored the value behind the numbers and ended up trading integrity in the eyes of someone who helped them for $15.

In an alternate scenario, Person 1 thinks, “Person 2 hasn’t asked me for the money I owe, and I would be better off not spending it; however, I will pay them back anyway because I said I would.”

In this scenario, Person 1 isn’t thinking about how paying Person 2 back will impact their bank account. Rather than assessing the situation from a point of place of scarcity and gluttony, they are assessing the situation and acting on it from a place of integrity. The $15 isn’t just money, it’s a representation of Person 1’s virtue.

By spending money from a pure place of virtue, you remove any blockages that stop the current from flowing to you. Like the child’s hand in the stream, it will wash over you with promises of more to come.

Have a blessed day.
